Land O' Lakes and Springstead squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Land O' Lakes had to settle for second. They fell 25-20 to the Eagles. The Gators' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Even if they lost, Land O' Lakes' defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kate Johnson and Tashara Davis, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Springstead got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Arianna Willoughby out in front who threw for 135 yards and three TDs. Those three passing touchdowns gave Willoughby a new career-high. J'Ziyah Munford was another key player, gaining 57 total yards and two touchdowns.

Land O' Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Springstead, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Land O' Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springstead, they will challenge Belleview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rattlers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
