Baseball Recap: Wayland Find Success

Wayland won against Greater Lowell Tech on Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Warriors walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Framingham Flyers. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 6-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Wayland and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Framingham, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Wayland will challenge Acton-Boxborough at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Framingham, they will face off against Braintree at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
