Braylon Ward, Union's leader in assists on the season, led the team again on Monday. Ward dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. The effort marked the most rebounds he has had since back in January of 2024. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points.

Looking ahead, Ward and Union won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Hardy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers had to take a loss when they last met the Cougars, but Ward had little to do with the loss: he posted 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals.
