Soccer Game Preview: Williamsville vs. Monticello

The Williamsville Bullets will take on the Monticello Sages at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Williamsville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Macomb get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Williamsville have beaten Macomb the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Macomb has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Monticello entered their tilt with Athens/PORTA on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Warriors.

Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Williamsville, their win bumped their record up to 22-5.

Everything went Williamsville's way against Monticello when the teams last played back in May of 2023, as Williamsville made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bullets since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
