Ayden - Grifton was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Pamlico County Hurricanes. The score was close at halftime, but Ayden - Grifton pulled away in the second half with four goals.

They hit Pamlico County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aron Ascencio (2), Yoel Sanchez, and Alex Monroy.

Ayden - Grifton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Pamlico County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
