Summit Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amerie Santana led the charge by putting up 16 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Santana is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last six games she's played. Skyla Lawrence was another key player, scoring four points in addition to ten boards and five steals.

Summit Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Success Academy of Liberal Arts got the win against Leaders In Our Neighborhood back in January by a conclusive 50-30.

Summit Academy pushed their record up to 22-9 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.9 points on average over those games. As for Success Academy of Liberal Arts, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
