Adams put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Seagoville Dragons. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Dragons are ranked 551st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Isaac Esparza and Angel Frias scored all three of Adams' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Adams' win bumped their record up to 7-0-2. As for Seagoville, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-3 record this season.

Adams will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against North Mesquite at 7:30 p.m. North Mesquite is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season. Seagoville has already played their next contest (against West Mesquite), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
