Football Game Preview: Fairbanks Panthers vs. Triad Cardinals

The Fairbanks Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Triad Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Fairbanks and 16 for Triad dating back to last season.

Fairbanks managed to slip by Northeastern the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers had to suffer through a 47-13 loss at the hands of the Jets. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 34 points.

Meanwhile, Triad played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of West Liberty-Salem. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Triad's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fairbanks, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Fairbanks against Triad when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 61-13 win. In that game, the Panthers amassed a halftime lead of 42-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
