Softball Recap: Bakersfield Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Bakersfield had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Immanuel Eagles on Friday. For the Drillers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.

Bakersfield's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Immanuel, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 17-6-2 record.

Coming up, Bakersfield will challenge Sanger West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Drillers surely won't give up without a fight. Immanuel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
