Brooks won the last time they faced Wilson and things went their way on Saturday too. Brooks blew past Wilson 11-2. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly nine runs.

Conner Abston was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Abston was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Charlie Buttram was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI. Carter Richardson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Brooks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Brooks and bumps their season record up to 6-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Wilson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
