Van Meter had already won 40 in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it 41 on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Roosevelt Roughriders. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
