Softball Preview: Atmore Christian Rams vs. East Hill Christian Eagles        
        
		
            Atmore Christian is on  a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and East Hill Christian an 11-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck  on Tuesday. The Atmore Christian Rams will be playing at home against the East Hill Christian Eagles  at 6:30  p.m. Atmore Christian has given up an average of 17.2  runs per game this season, but Tuesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Having struggled with ten  losses in a row, Atmore Christian  turned things around against Santa Rosa Christian  on Monday. They blew past Santa Rosa Christian 21-14. The Rams not only won  on Monday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 4th.

 Ava Smoker was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   four  hits. Those  seven  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing three bases while going 4-for-5. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played.
 In other batting news, Atmore Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Jenna Kennell, who  went a perfect 5-for-5 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and five  RBI. Those  five  RBI gave  Kennell a new career-high.  Tamra Stoltzfus was another key player,  getting on base  in five of her six plate appearances with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and three  runs.
 Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for East Hill Christian's offense. They lost  15-0 to Central Christian on Thursday.
 East Hill Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Atmore Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-14.
 Atmore Christian took their  victory against East Hill Christian  in their previous meeting  back in March by a conclusive  18-7 score. Do  the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
