Volleyball Recap: St. Benedict at Auburndale's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Harding Academy, St. Benedict at Auburndale was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Fayette Academy Vikings as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

St. Benedict at Auburndale never let Fayette Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 25-16.

Ashley Price paced St. Benedict at Auburndale's offense, picking up 13 kills. Price got some help from Ashlyn Underwood and her 19 assists. Underwood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

St. Benedict at Auburndale's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Fayette Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

St. Benedict at Auburndale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hutchison on the 2nd. As for Fayette Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against West Memphis Christian on the 2nd.
