Preview: Carrollton Warriors vs. Strasburg-Franklin Tigers
The Carrollton Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Strasburg-Franklin Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carrollton will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Monday, Carrollton didn't have too much trouble with Hoover at home as they won 53-36. Given Carrollton's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Hoover is ranked 358th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kylie Ujcich continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brae Roudebush, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Strasburg-Franklin was beaten by Hiland 64-25 on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Strasburg-Franklin in their matchups with Hiland: they've now lost six in a row.
Carrollton pushed their record up to 17-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Strasburg-Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
Everything came up roses for Carrollton against Strasburg-Franklin when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 81-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carrollton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
