Softball Recap: Alta-Aurelia Takes a Loss

If Alta-Aurelia was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Storm Lake St. Mary on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell 7-3 to the Newell-Fonda Mustangs on Wednesday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Alta-Aurelia's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Newell-Fonda, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Alta-Aurelia has already played their next game, a 9-6 defeat against Southeast Valley on the 13th. As for Newell-Fonda, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-1 win against Pocahontas on the 12th.
