Recap: Osawatomie Trojans vs. Jefferson West Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to The Osawatomie Trojans, who are still winless after their ninth contest. They were beaten by Jefferson West 59-6 on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Osawatomie in their matchups with Jefferson West: they've now lost three in a row.
Tucker Holthaus was a one-man wrecking crew for Jefferson West as he rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Thelen, who gained 117 total yards.
Osawatomie's loss was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.7 points per game. As for Jefferson West, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Osawatomie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jefferson West also has no future games currently scheduled.
