Basketball Recap: East Noble Find Success

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Noble). In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 67-66 victory over the Churubusco Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

East Noble got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Scott out in front who went 8 for 10 on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Scott a new career-high. Nathan Bowker was another key player, putting up 22 points and seven rebounds.

East Noble was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for East Noble and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Churubusco, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

East Noble wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-41 win against Central Noble on the 3rd. As for Churubusco, they will venture away from home to challenge Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Churubusco surely won't give up without a fight.
