Soccer Recap: Hammond Morton Takes a Loss

Hammond Morton managed to keep up with Hammond Central until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Governors came up short against Wolves, falling 4-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hammond Morton of the 7-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Hammond Morton and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Hammond Central, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Hammond Morton will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Boone Grove at 10:00 a.m. Hammond Morton's defense better be ready for this one: Boone Grove have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Hammond Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against Culver Academies at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
