Basketball Recap: New Life Christian Academy Comes Up Short

New Life Christian Academy played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Legacy Academy Warriors 71-27. The defeat continues a trend for New Life Christian Academy in their matchups with Legacy Academy: they've now lost four in a row.

It was another big night for Oaklee Lofton, who dropped a triple-double on 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 17 steals for Legacy Academy. The game was Lofton's 16th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Skylar Alexander, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 17 points along with six boards and five steals.

New Life Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Legacy Academy, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Christian Ministries Academy the next time they take the court. Legacy Academy will head out to face Christian Ministries Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while New Life Christian Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
