Basketball Game Preview: Locust Grove Wildcats vs. Woodland Wolfpack

The Locust Grove Wildcats will challenge the Woodland Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Locust Grove, who comes in off a win.

Last Wednesday, Locust Grove was able to grind out a solid win over Hampton, taking the game 51-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Woodland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 76-72 to Stockbridge.

Locust Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Woodland, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Locust Grove beat Woodland 48-38 in their previous meeting on January 7th. Will Locust Grove repeat their success, or does Woodland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
