Softball Recap: Carthage Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carthage can now relate to. They lost 12-2 to the Aubrey Chaparrals on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chaparrals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Carthage and nudges their season record down to 25-8-1. As for Aubrey, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-3.

Carthage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aubrey, they will face off against Canton on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chaparrals 1.9, the Eagles 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
