Basketball Recap: North Bend Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against David City last Monday, North Bend Central came back down to earth. The North Bend Central Tigers fell 51-41 to the Scotus Shamrocks on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Shamrocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-52 back in January.

Despite the loss, North Bend Central still got an impressive performance from Layne Ruzicka, who to rack up 19 points. The match was Ruzicka's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Cash Hanis was another key player, putting up 13 points.

North Bend Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. Scotus is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

North Bend Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scotus, they will head out on the road to challenge West Point-Beemer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
