Seneca has gone 9-1 against East Newton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will face off against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Seneca was just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to Lamar. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, East Newton rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 21-12 victory over the Tigers.

The critical scores for East Newton came from Caden Youngblood, River Enlow, and Ethan Bales.

East Newton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

East Newton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Youngblood and Enlow. Enlow also rushed for 163 rushing yards, which is notable because East Newton is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 0-7 otherwise. Coltin Noone was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 14 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

East Newton's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8. As for Seneca, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Everything came up roses for Seneca against East Newton when the teams last played back in October, as the team secured a 56-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
