Charleston Catholic faced Logan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Irish were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Irish, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Charleston Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 22-4.
