Basketball Recap: Jena Takes a Loss

If Jena was riding high fresh off their 58-31 takedown of Northwood last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jena Giants took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ouachita Christian Eagles on Friday. The loss was the Giants' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jena fell to 3-1. As for Ouachita Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Jena will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Forest at 5:00 p.m. on January 21, 2025. As for Ouachita Christian, they will take on Holy Savior Menard in a tournament on Tuesday.
