Softball Recap: Ursuline Academy Gets the Win

Ursuline Academy won the last time they faced Bishop Lynch and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bears came out on top against the Friars by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Leah Drake spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Anna Breen was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Hestwood, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Ursuline Academy now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Bishop Lynch, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.

As of now, neither Ursuline Academy nor the Friars have any future games scheduled.
