Basketball Game Preview: Glenbard East Rams vs. Bartlett Hawks

Glenbard East hasn't had much luck against Bartlett recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Glenbard East Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Bartlett Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Glenbard East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Bartlett likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Glenbard East made off with a 56-55 victory over Wheaton Academy.

Meanwhile, Bartlett played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Hinsdale Central, falling 63-39. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Red Devils are ranked fifth).

Glenbard East's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. As for Bartlett, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

Glenbard East came up short against Bartlett when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 70-59. Can Glenbard East avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
