Preview: Kennedy Thunderbirds vs. Taft Wildcats

The Kennedy Thunderbirds will be playing at home against the Taft Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Kennedy has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Taft will arrive with three straight victories.

The matchup between Kennedy and Chavez on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Kennedy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 67-43 walloping at the hands of Chavez. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games he's played. Ernie Laulu was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds.

Kennedy's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-16. As for Taft, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.
