Baseball Recap: Vanden Takes a Loss

If Vanden was riding high fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Sacramento on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell just short of the Sutter Huskies by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday.

Vanden saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Armstrong, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Daevion Lindsay, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Vanden's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-16. As for Sutter, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

Looking ahead, Vanden will venture away from home to challenge Sacramento at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Sutter, they will take on Center at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
