Preview: Broadwater Bulldogs vs. Shields Valley Rebels
Broadwater is 9-1 against Shields Valley since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Broadwater Bulldogs' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Shields Valley Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Shields Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Broadwater, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Broadwater beat Whitehall 47-35. The win was just what Broadwater needed coming off of a 65-35 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Shields Valley had to suffer through a rough 71-37 loss at the hands of Twin Bridges. While losing is never fun, Shields Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Twin Bridges is ranked fourth).
Broadwater now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Shields Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Broadwater strolled past Shields Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 45-28. Will Broadwater repeat their success, or does Shields Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
