Baseball Game Preview: South Summit Wildcats vs. Duchesne Eagles

For the second straight game, South Summit will face off against Duchesne. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, South Summit came up short against Duchesne and fell 4-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Duchesne's part, Braylon Brady spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits. Brady has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nashden Goodliffe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last 11 contests. Wyatt Christensen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The win snapped Duchesne's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-12 record. As for South Summit, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
