Baseball Recap: West Johnston Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Johnston had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Western Alamance Warriors by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since February 28th.

West Johnston is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Western Alamance, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

As of now, neither West Johnston nor Western Alamance have any future games scheduled.
