Flag Football Recap: Roybal Comes Up Short

The Roybal Titans were beaten by the Marshall Barristers 45-6 on Monday.

Marshall's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylin Macias, who threw for 156 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes. That's the most passing yards Macias has posted over her last seven matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Guerrero, who picked up 106 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Roybal now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Marshall, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Roybal will take on rival Lincoln at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Marshall is set to square off against their familiar foe Franklin at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Barristers 13.2, the Panthers 9.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
