Wayne County had lost five games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 9-9 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the McCreary Central Raiders as they made off with a 10-1 victory. Considering the Cardinals have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for McCreary Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging 3.13 runs allowed.

For McCreary Central's part, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristen West, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Coming up, Wayne County will square off against Cumberland County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.4 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for McCreary Central, they will head out to take on Oneida at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
