Basketball Game Preview: St. John Lutheran Saints vs. Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs

St. John Lutheran and Meadowbrook Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The St. John Lutheran Saints will take on the Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

St. John Lutheran came up short against Bell, falling 56-30. Having soared to a lofty 62 points in the game before, the Saints couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Meadowbrook Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 48-47 photo finish over Real Life Christian Academy on Tuesday.

Meadowbrook Academy pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for St. John Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

St. John Lutheran was taken down by Meadowbrook Academy 62-23 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. John Lutheran was down 54-12.
