Baseball Recap: Pekin Victorious

While Pekin's win against Louisa-Muscatine wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Falcons a 1-0 shutout on Monday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Pekin's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Louisa-Muscatine, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pekin will head out to take on Mediapolis at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Louisa-Muscatine, they will challenge Wilton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
