Volleyball Game Preview: Cordova Lancers vs. Kennedy Cougars

The Cordova Lancers will challenge the Kennedy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Cordova turned things around against McClatchy on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lions.

Cordova was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 29-27, 21-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Kennedy posted their closest victory since March 7th on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past Lincoln 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kennedy wouldn't go down easily and took Lincoln into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 15-8.

The victory got Kennedy back to even at 8-8. As for Cordova, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Cordova was able to grind out a solid victory over Kennedy when the teams last played back in March, winning 3-1. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
