Washburn posted their closest victory since September 17, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Knoxville T Trailblazers 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Abigail Epperson paced Washburn's offense, picking up seven kills. Epperson got some help from Kylie Ferguson and her ten assists. Epperson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Taylie Proffitt, racking up two apiece.

The win got Washburn back to even at 3-3. As for Knoxville T, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trailblazers beat Washburn by a score of 2-0 later that day.
