Recap: Antioch Sequoits vs. Plano Reapers
On Friday, the Antioch Sequoits's game was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Plano by a score of 36-29. That's another feather in the cap for Antioch, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Antioch found their leader in underclassman Heidi Rathmann, who scored 16 points. The game was Rathmann's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Schaufele, who scored seven points.
Antioch's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Plano, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antioch will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Round Lake at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Plano will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harvard at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
