Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Falls Short Against Ranked Marymount

Hamilton is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Marymount. The Huskies fell 2-0 to the Sailors. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sailors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12.

Mikayla Haner paced Hamilton's offense, picking up six kills. Haner got some help from Hailey Johnston and her 11 assists.

Marymount was led to victory by Karys Campos and Olivia Penske. Campos had five aces, while Penske had 19 assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Hamilton and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for Marymount, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-2.

Hamilton has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Valley Christian on the 27th. As for Marymount, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Owyhee on the 27th.
