East Alton-Wood River's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Columbia on Friday. They were beaten by the Eagles 62-0. Meanwhile, Freeburg had just enough and edged out Roxana 21-19 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Midgets.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Cooper Kisgen and Mekhi Shorter. Kisgen had a great game and rushed for 150 yards. Meanwhile, Shorter was balling out in the loss, rushing for 174 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

East Alton-Wood River's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Freeburg, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
