There's no place like home for Pine Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Ashland Blue Devils on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won five in a row.

Caroline Jones made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since March 1st. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Pine Grove let Anaston Christian and Reagan Childs run wild. Christian scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Childs scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Childs also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Addison McMillan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.

Pine Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Pine Grove now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Ashland, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pine Grove beat Ashland by a score of 12-0 later that day.
