Softball Recap: Chelsea Takes a Loss

Chelsea entered their game against East Lawrence on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Chelsea fell just short of East Lawrence by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Hornets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Chelsea saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lorelei Beck, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Chelsea's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9-1. As for East Lawrence, they moved to 6-15 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Coming up, Chelsea will be playing in front of their home fans against Leeds at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Lawrence, they will head out on the road to face off against Colbert County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. East Lawrence's pitchers better be ready for this one: Colbert County has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
