Softball Recap: Livingston Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Livingston saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the River Valley Falcons by a score of 5-1.

The team relied heavily on Olivia Costa, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Tatiana Muniz also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Livingston is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. River Valley is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

Livingston has already played their next match, a 10-2 defeat against Spanish Springs on the 28th. As for River Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Reed on the 28th.
