Oakridge came out on top against Lowell on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Red Devils 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted against the Red Devils since April 12, 2024.

Jonathan Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jasper Spoon, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Another was Cole Walters, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Oakridge now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lowell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Oakridge will venture away from home to take on North Douglas/Elkton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lowell, they will welcome Camas Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.33 runs per game on average), something the Red Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
