Baseball Recap: Phillips Wins Going Away Against Cherokee

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marion County, Phillips was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-10 margin over the Cherokee Indians. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The victory got Phillips back to even at 1-1. As for Cherokee, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phillips will take on Tharptown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cherokee, they will square off against Vina at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
