Football Recap: Barbe Gets the Win

Barbe won the last time they faced Northwest and things went their way on Thursday too. The Buccaneers put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 40-19 victory.

Jelandon Gray was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 262 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 75 yards on only ten carries.

Barbe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Terrius Lemons picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Barbe's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Northwest, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Barbe will challenge Carencro at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The match will give the Buccaneers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Northwest, they will face off against Jennings at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
