It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but New London had no problem doing just that on Monday. They breezed past the Wilby Wildcats to the tune of 87-47. The Whalers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jayvon Robinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double with 15 points, ten assists, and 11 steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashaun Phillips, who shot 57% from the field to rack up 19 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: New London was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

New London pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.6 points. As for Wilby, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Looking ahead, New London will host Crosby at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Crosby is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.3 points per game this season. Wilby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
