Softball Recap: Acalanes Dons vs. Northgate Broncos
Acalanes got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against the Northgate Broncos by a score of 14-11. The Dons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Broncos, too.
Maya Shoenhair was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and ten unearned) runs off 11 hits. Shoenhair was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Vanessa Choi was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Santana Tamayo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
