After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Lafourche, Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Carver Collegiate Academy Rams 19-1. Considering the Tigers have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Preston Champagne was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-8 otherwise.
